Dr. Mohsen Seifi joined ASTM International in 2016 as the director of additive manufacturing (AM) programs, in which he brings technical leadership to facilitate standardization activities across all ASTM AM related technical committees and building new partnerships/initiatives as well as development of new AM standards related programs within diverse ASTM portfolios. He has also appointment as an adjunct faculty at Case Western Reserve University in OH, USA. He has co-authored more than 30 peer reviewed publications and has presented more than 55 invited and keynote lectures at various technical meetings, industries and government agencies while also receiving various technical society honors and awards. He is currently serving as a global director of AM programs at ASTM International Washington, DC office responsible for ASTM AM center of excellence (CoE) and various AM programs. ASTM AM CoE has four founding partners and two strategic partners at this point with eight different locations across the globe to support standardization efforts underway.
Dr. Seifi holds master and doctoral degrees from Case Western Reserve University in materials science and engineering with emphasis on metal AM qualification and standardization and has conducted extensive work in the field funded by multiple organizations. As an international thought leader, he also serves as an advisory board/scientific committee member of several journals, organizations and consortia to further contribute to the community.
