Vesna Cota is technical specialist with Tyco Electronics Canada ULC, a TE Connectivity Company. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for NSERC-CFI Strategic Network for Holistic Innovation in Additive Manufacturing (HI-AM), the Canadian ISO/TC261 Additive Manufacturing Standards Committee, and on the SME Members Council. Cota is a long standing RAPID conference advisor, and advisor to RAPID Canada conferences, CMTS and Fabtech. She served on the SME Additive Manufacturing Community Steering Committee (formerly RTAM) from 2007 through 2016.
She has been active in the additive manufacturing community since the early 90's, and is a relentless promoter of additive manufacturing in Canada. As an executive officer of the SME Toronto Chapter 26, she received the SME Chapter 26 President's Award for outstanding service and the SME Award for Organising and Implementing Rapid Prototyping Seminar Series 1998-1999.
Cota became an SME master-level Additive Manufacturing Certificate holder in 2005. She received her degree in architecture from the University of Zagreb, Croatia.
